The 2026 Triple Crown season is in full swing with the Preakness Stakes (May 16th) and the Belmont Stakes (June 6th) coming next. But here’s a different kind of horse story, one that’s not about the finish line, but about the healing journey. While Derby contenders race for a crown, 23 horses and 3 mini horses at The Meadows help patients run a different kind of race, the race for mental wellness, resilience, and self-discovery.
