The Overdose Fatality Review Board, comprised of MATFORCE and 33 partner organizations, has been conducting annual reviews of every accidental overdose death in Yavapai County since 2016. The Board is a collaborative multidisciplinary team dedicated to reviewing all overdose-related fatalities in Yavapai County. Its primary goal is to identify trends, risk factors, and systemic gaps that contribute to fatal overdoses. By reviewing case details, the board works to develop actionable recommendations to improve prevention efforts, enhance response strategies, and support community health initiatives.
