Beginning no sooner than February 23, 2026, contractors will begin working on the Groom Creek Mastication project. They will be using heavy equipment to masticate hazardous fuels within the approximately 1,445-acre area. This hazardous fuels reduction project is located on Bradshaw Ranger District, south of the city of Prescott and east of Senator Hwy.
