The Wednesday, Dec. 11, Prescott Valley Town Council meeting was a reminder of what true leadership looks like. Lucy Leyva – former councilmember, local business owner,  and entrepreneur – stood with calm resolve and clarity, urging us to hold our new leaders to higher standards.  Leadership isn’t about belittling residents or venting on social media. Calling constituents “morons” divides us when we need unity. Leyva’s remarks came in response to one of the newly elected Prescott Valley Town Council member’s disparaging remarks directed at her.
